Houses, Castles & Gardens of Ireland Facebook Page Likes grew from 170 to 1179 Likes in 2 months.

HCGI has been for forty years promoting it’s member’ houses, castles and gardens which are open to visitors in the Republic of Ireland and in Northern Ireland.

HCGI, with funding and support from Failte Ireland, required Exist to help develop a Facebook competition to boost fans on their newly launched Facebook Page in conjunction with their pre-marketing activities leading up to their appearance at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2012. The target was to hit 1,000 Likes prior to the show.


  • – Include a Fan Gating Tab to encourage users to Like the Page prior to entering the competition.
  • – Include a share element to encourage the virality of Facebook.
  • – Collect user information such as name and email address to use in future marketing activities.
